It wasn't until I was pregnant that I was rudely made aware of all the great food I left back in California; Little Lucca sandwiches (the best garlic pesto sauce), Hostess Berry and Lemon pies, good Mexican-El Grand Amigo and Taco Trucks (everything out here is Tex Mex) and the best pizza sauce ever, Round Table. I love their red sauce and I just can't find a good pizza place out here (Pizza Hut is ok but not the best). So I did what I do best and got online and I googled for a recipe. And guess what? I found one and I made it today and it's so close to Round Table, I did a little happy dance right in the kitchen.

What! No Round Table! That is like a crime!
I actually found you through google, looking for a knock-off RT sauce recipe. I saw John's recipe on a message board, so now that I have a review, gonna have to make it!
Hi, we live overseas and my wife loves Round Table and I wanted to make it for her birthday. I had some Hungarian Paprika sent from the states, but it is Hungarian Sweet Paprika. Do you know if you used the sweet, mild, or hot Hungarian Paprika? Thanks for the help.

I found your blog because I was looking for the Round Table Pizza recipe!!!! I live near one...but can't beat making it at home, either! (Plus, I found someone else who is a transplant to Texas from CA...we'll be doing that soon too!)
I moved from CA to the DFW Area about 12 years ago. I have yet to find a good pizza and I have tried so many. Round Table was my staple. I will give this sauce a try! Thanks!
Ok I just found your article and am amazed because im doing the same thing. I live in Colorado and hate it because being pregnant and craving all the yummy thongs I left in the bay area. I'm so sad and desperately craving the garlic pesto from little Lucca's. Any idea how to make it? You said this is what you do best well can you help a sister in need? I would so appreciate if you know anything close to the recipe or how to get it. I'd be your best friend ;););)
Please let me know. Siennas_momma@yahoo.com
Best always!

Hi, Thanks so much for your blog. I am also a Californian, that now lives in Missouri. There is no pizza place that I have found that taste like RTP. I love their pizza's. I made pizza's tonight for dinner and used this sauce pretty close. I did add an 1/8 tsp of ground cayenne red pepper and it actually tasted like rtp's sauce., Will try a little more cayenne pepper next time. Thanks again for the sauce recipe.

Okay in all these blogs you guys are supposely talking about a recipe for Round Table Pizzas pizza sauce however I have yet to see an actual recipe. And the one recipe I did find didn't call for any fresh garlic and I know there's garlic in Round Table Pizza Sauce it's not just powdered garlic! So can somebody please actually post a correct recipe and directions on how to make it
