Olivia's favorites.....

It seems to be coming clearer to me every day that my baby is growing up. Is it the for coming of a new little one? Perhaps so but it's still a little sad to me to have to say goodbye to Olivia's baby years. A supporting factor of her growing up and becoming a young lady is her concept of favorites. Olivia and I had a chance to be by ourselves and I took the time to interview her and ask her about her favorites.

color: pink
friend: meadow ( a little girl from church)
dog: lucky
pretend person: a mermaid or a kangaroo
what does she want to be when she grows up: a cheerleader or a mermaid
what does she want for her birthday: a pony and swim lessons

Roger Rabbit

Last night, "Who framed Roger Rabbit" was on and I watched it with Olivia. To my surprise she liked it very much and actually sat through the whole movie. Her favorite character was the baby that was really a man. I'm just glad that she didn't wake up this morning channeling Jessica Rabbit!

"Gummy Beads"

Friday night we were at Costco and Olivia saw the big container of jelly bellys and called them gummy beads.

More Chicken

I have introduced Olivia to beef jerky and she loves it! The funny part is that she calls it "turkey" and from turkey she calls it "chicken". So, when she wants more, she asks for more chicken!

Let's talk about it

Yesterday for the first time that I can remember hearing, Olivia responded to me when I told her that she needed a time out in her room, "Let's talk about it". The first time it caught me off guard and I actually laughed, that was mistake #1 because now she says it to me to get out of trouble. Her other out is to say, "I have to pee".

Baby News!

It's official, there's an alien growing inside me! I had my first MD appointment yesterday and it was a great relief to have my pregnancy confirmed. I don't know how to explain it but until you see the little alien on the sonogram, there's just this thought in the back of your mind of that it's not really happening and it's all just in your head, the symptoms and weight gain. My due date is August 19th and everything looks right on schedule. We don't know for sure but at the moment it feels like a boy, so until we know for sure differently, the alien is referred to as, "him" or "junior". I'm very excited to be a mom again and Olivia can't wait for her little brother.

*note: for those of you that know about my uterus shape, you can see it on the bottom of the sonogram, right under the baby. It looks like a ripple and it shows that its very minor. Yay!

Midnight party

The other night I woke up around 2 in the morning to find Olivia passed out on the floor surrounded by the mess she created! The TV was blarring, toys and cherrios were everywhere and she even fell asleep with cherrios in her hand.
